Hi ladies! Fall is here, the sweaters are out, and my phone has been full of the same question: "Mary, have you seen this?" Yes, I have. So I'm starting a little something just for you. Every few weeks I'll round up what's trending in beauty, tell you what it actually is, and how a real, busy woman can wear it without looking like she's trying to be 19. Grab your coffee. Here's what's hot.
Cloud nails: the "my nails are naturally this pretty" manicure

Cloud nails are soft, milky, sheer polish. Think your nail, only better, with a little blur like a cloud. No crazy art, no neon.
How to wear it in real life: This is the most grown-up trend out there. It goes with every outfit, every ring, every meeting. And when it grows out? It's so much less noticeable than a dark shade. Pick a milky pink if you're warm-toned, a milky white if you love a crisp look.
At the spa: Ask for a Manicure in a sheer, milky shade.
Cherry cola and copper hair: fall color with some warmth

Yes, "cherry cola hair" is a real thing! It's a deep brunette with a red-wine glow, and right behind it are soft coppers and mocha browns. Basically, fall wants your hair rich and warm.
How to wear it in real life: You don't have to go full red. If you're a brunette, a cherry cola tone can be just a glossy shift that catches the light. If you're lighter, a soft copper (like the one in this photo from our chair) warms up your face beautifully. And if you're covering gray, warm tones are friendly and grow out softly.
At the spa: Start with a Hair Color Consultation so we can find your shade, then All Over Color for an even glow or Hair Foil for dimension.
Bold lipstick is back (and I'm thrilled)

After a few years of tinted balms and "barely there" stains, real lipstick is back. Full color. Cranberry, brick, berry and classic red.
How to wear it in real life: Keep the rest of the face soft: groomed brows, mascara, a little blush, and let the lips do the talking. Line first so it stays put, blot once, reapply after lunch. If red feels like too much, a berry or a brick-red is the easy, everyday version.
At the spa: Book a Makeup Consultation and we'll find the shade that loves you back, or a Makeup Application for your next night out.
Cloud skin: soft, glowy, real

"Cloud skin" is the new name for skin that looks soft-focus and healthy. Not shiny, not cakey, just smooth and glowing. And here's my favorite part: it starts with the skin, not the makeup.
How to wear it in real life: Lighter foundation (or a tinted moisturizer), a creamy blush on the apples of your cheeks, and powder only where you need it. The smoother your skin is underneath, the less product you need, and that's the secret to looking fresh at any age.
At the spa: A Signature Facial or Classic Facial for that glow, and ask about dermaplaning, which takes off the peach fuzz and dull surface skin so your makeup goes on smoother.
The glow goes below the neck

Body care is having a moment: dry brushing routines, glowing-skin body washes, and treating your arms and legs like you treat your face.
How to wear it in real life: Dry brushing at home takes two minutes before a shower. Use light strokes toward your heart, go easy on sensitive spots, then moisturize right after. When you want the full reset, let us do the work.
At the spa: Our Full Body Scrub says goodbye to dry, itchy skin and finishes with a rich hydrating moisturizer. Want to go all in? The Full Body Scrub and Wrap.
That's what's hot, girls!
Pick one, try one, or try them all. I'd love to hear which one you're brave enough to try first. We'll see you in two weeks with more.
Love, Mary
